Most days, although not all of them, have been pretty slow around here. The pace is very different than it has been for the last 3 years. I'm not sure if I'm pleased or disappointed that I've adapted to this pace. Going back will be challenging, but the job is much more rewarding when I'm moving a million miles an hour.
So, some days, dinner isn't going to be a big, fabulous 3 course meal. Sometimes, it's going to be a simple fried egg over crisped white rice and a few fixings. And that's alright. Surprisingly, Talal didn't even notice that this meal was pretty effortless. He shoveled it down, oohed and aahed as usual. So, I guess simple isn't always simple.
