Tante Juju invited us to a late lunch at their house. Knowing that Talal and I had been eating keto over the past two weeks, she was excited to cook for us and make a low-carb meal. Now when we showed up, we quickly told her to bring on the carbs. The diet was over and Christmas was around the corner. Daddy brought (you probably guessed it) a beautiful festive sourdough bread. Ammo Ramzi broiled (surprise!) bone marrow to accompany the fresh bread. Tante Juju made Shrimp Thai Soup, polenta and blackened fish. Yes, yes we had both.
After the yummy meal, we reached took our place outside to enjoy the cold, winter weather with blankets and a hot cup of anise tea.
