Deep fried and so delicious.. Every year, Hala's tradition is to make Zleibeh on January 5. The dough itself isn't very sweet. The texture is like a heavy beignet.We leave smelling deep-fried and looking like powdered sugar.
Hala told us the name of the black sesame-looking seed was Habbet el barakeh. After a lot of research.. I was still confused about what they are in English. So, I will forever know them as Habbet el barakeh.
