For my family birthday lunch, we went out between the clouds and managed to find some sun. My third time at True Food Kitchen and it never disappoints. To celebrate, I went straight for the bubbles. I finally ordered the Caramelized Onion Tart. It had gorgonzola, black figs, garlic and onions. I wouldn't call it a tart, but more of a flatbread. A good flatbread at that. I ordered the Mushroom Pizza and split it in half with Mommy for the Thai Green Papaya Salad. The burger-looking item was Tina's Inside-Out Quinoa Burger. It's a miracle that it stays together, but it defintely wows.
Check out my album for the awful cakes (that couldn't even withstand the Houston heat for 20 minutes) from Whole Foods. At least you can't say that they don't have character.
