When you're making a big change in your life, it's always an emotional time. I was excited to try something new and return to old friends. I was anxious counting down the days. I was busy closing out my projects. No matter how much I know I made the best choice for me, I still felt an overwhelming sadness.
I wasn't the only one that felt that way. My friends had a rough time accepting my decision and Stan even planned a little going away lunch for my final work day with her. We drove to Benjy's and took a while to park. We were seated upstairs int he private dining room since they were so busy. I grabbed the crunchy chicken dish. it was really heavy, but quite yummy. The biggest change i'd made is the corn at the bottom was far too sweet.
Really though, today isn't about the food. it's about starting my next chapter with these gals. I won't see them every day, but we'll still be seeing each other. I promise.
