Emmaline

Updated: Jul 21, 2020

Once upon a time, Mira and I decided that we should meet up regularly. Of course, with every good fairytale, something got in our way... a little thing called LIFE. We'd see each other at other events and realize that months had gone by. Once you realize that it's easy once you have something on the books, you'll see more friends. Trust me. Whether we stick to a consistent schedule or not, I know we'll have a great time regardless.

For our second brunch, we visited Emmaline. It opened up in December and I had driven by a couple times on my way to HEB. We sat on the patio outside under an umbrella. The spot is adorable with a DJ turning tables on the weekend and setting a fun mood. Let's just say that his milkshake brings the boys to the yard, because there was a steady influx of well-dressed Houstonians ready for a great brunch in the hot, summer heat. After an excessive amount of time spent staring at the menu, I ordered the everything bagel with chive cream cheese, and house-cured salmon. It was filling and light, which is a good mix for a girl who always over eats. Always.
